Welcome to my website.  

This site is idiosyncratic. I’ve been writing for a long time in various genres, and so I am attempting here to synchronize these, as they are in silos. Feel free to browse through some of my literary essays, poems, stories, novel excerpts,  and some of my scholarly work.

On the literary side, I’ve qualified to be listed as both a Poet and a Writer in the Directory of American Poets and Writers, and so am among the few who do.

Even though I’m retired, I’m pleased to say that my scholarly work is still frequently downloaded and assigned worldwide through Google Scholar and ResearchGate.org.

There’s a lot of stuff here, including interviews with me published in scholarly journals. 

These photos show two of my other interests–travel and photography. The top photo is of “dog beach” near the ore dock on Lake Superior near Marquette, Michigan; the bottom one is one a fellow traveler took of me on a road trip in Glacier National Park.
